Amboseli National Park, located in southern Kenya near the Tanzanian border, is famous for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. The park covers 392 square kilometers and is part of the larger Amboseli ecosystem.
The park's diverse habitats include dried-up lake beds, wetlands with sulphur springs, savannah, and woodlands. This variety supports a rich array of wildlife, with over 50 mammal species and more than 400 bird species recorded.
